I had been dying to go explore Samuel H. Boardman State Scenic Corridor along the southern Oregon coast for the longest time, and I finally got my chance when Chloe + Henry were looking for an awesome spot to do their adventure engagement session. This twelve-mile stretch along the southern Oregon coast has stunning viewpoints, gorgeous cliff sides, secluded beaches, and so much more. About 6 hours from Portland, Oregon, this majestic location is definitely worth the drive.
We started our session at Natural Bridges, which was absolutely breathtaking. We checked out the viewpoint from the top, then hiked down to the iconic photo spot on the cliffside. The hike can be pretty steep and a little sketchy so make sure you wear hiking shoes with good traction! Chloe was a pro and packed separate shoes for the photos. After we took some photos, we hiked back up and headed to our next location, Secret Beach. This beach is a nestled away paradise just down the road from Natural Bridges and has a gorgeous view overlooking sea stacks in the water. We only had a few minutes before it started raining on us, but it was so worth the stop. The next morning we found one more beautiful beach on our way out of town for some moody coastal photos.
We went in November and were luckily almost the only ones there! In typical PNW winter fashion, the weather was cloudy and gray the whole time, but that only added to the vibe of the photos. If you’re interested in planning your own adventure engagement or elopement along the Oregon coast, I’d love to help. You can reach out for more information here.
Every trip to the Oregon coast is an adventure and I can’t wait for the next one!

Your photos make me want to visit that place even more!
